Massachusetts Hydrogeology Collaborative

The Massachusetts Hydrogeology Collaborative (MHC) is an opportunity for UMass students to gain research and work experience while still learning. This DEP funded grant allows undergraduate students to pursue interests in statewide hydrology projects that have high impact to the health and safety of citizens of the Commonwealth.

 

As an MHC undergraduate you will gain experience in:

​

  • Groundwater Mounding Analyses and Interpretation

  • Surface Water-Groundwater Interaction Science

  • Policy issues related to water in the Commonwealth

  • Communication skills between state, local, and private agencies regarding water and natural resources

  • Interesting and exciting field work
